The district of Lakhimpur
is 380 kilometers by road from Guwahati, the state capital of
Assam. One can come to Lakhimpur by air, water, railway and road.

AIR
Lilabari is the airport
located around 5 kms away from the district HQ and At present,
it is connected to Kolkata and Guwahati by an Air India Regional
flight on all seven days in a week.
ROAD

town of Assam viz. Guwahati, Tezpur, Nagaon, Dibrugarh, Tinisukia,
Sivasagar, Jorhat etc. This vehicles have both daily day and

RAILWAY
Intercity Express (Murkongselek-Kamakhya)
to and fro Guwahati is operating between North Lakhimpur and
Guwahati(Kamakhya Stn.) via Rangia, Rangapara, Biswanath Chariali
etc. The North Lakhimpur railway station is situated in Nakari,
approximately 2 km. from the District HQ.
Another Intercity Express(Naharlagun-Guwahati) to and fro Guwahati
is operating between Harmuti and Guwahati via Rangia, Rangapara,
Biswanath Chariali etc. The Harmuti railway station(jn) is
situated in Harmuti, approximately 30 km. from the District
HQ.
WATER WAY
One can travel to Dibrugarh,
Sivasagar and Jorhat(via Majuli) by crossing Brahmaputra river
by ferry.
