COLLEGE LIBRARY & STUDY CENTRE

        After the establishment of the College only a few books were donated by the teachers and well-wishers for the library. At the initiative of Dr. Babul Bujarbaruah, S.G. Lecturer , Department of History, the Chetana Library of Moidomia donated all their books and furniture to our College library. Dr. Bujarbaruah arranged the library at the initial stage in 1976. When the present Librarian Mrs. Anjuman Ara Hazarika joined as Librarian on 1st August,1979 , there were three hundred books , two Almirahs, a few furniture. Under the 8th Plan period the College received grants from the UGC for construction of the Library building and the present Central Library and Study Centre was completed before the Silver Jubilee celebrated from 20-22 Nov. 1997. Now there are nearly 15000 books and several issues of 27 national and international magazines , journals and periodicals. The College library subscribes 8 newspapers. Besides the Central library , various departments have their own departmental libraries of the teachers and students. There are more than 2500 books and 40 titles of journals in the departmental libraries.

        The Study Centre in the Central Library has sitting arrangement for more than 80 persons. There are separate arrangement for the Teachers and the students.
