       The Lakhimpur District comprises of four Legislative Assembly Constituencies namely 109-Bihpuria constituency, 110-Naoboicha Constituency,111-Lakhimpur Constituency and 112-Dhakuakhana constituency. The Deputy commissioner Lakhimpur is the District Election Officer for the first three constituencies  while the Sub-Divisional Officer , Dhakuakhana is the District Election Officer for 112-Dhakuakhana L.A.C.

    Again , in the case of Parliamentary Constituency , the Deputy Commissioner , Lakhimpur is the Returning Officer for 14-Lakhimpur House of People Constituency,comprising of nine Assembly constituencies viz. 99- Majuli , 110 -Naoboicha L.A.C. , 111-Lakhimpur LAC, 112-Dhakuakhana LAC, 113-Dhemaji LAC, 114-Jonai LAC, 121-Chabua LAC, 125-Doomdooma LAC and 126-Sadiya LAC. On the other hand 109-Bihpuria LAC falls in 9-Tezpur HPC of which the Deputy commissioner Sonitpur is the Returning officer.
