ASHA PROJECT AT GHILAMARA 1ST AUGUST 2005

          The awareness camp cum orientation camp on ASHA was held at Ghilamara CIC on 1st Aug 05 under the chairmanship 

of Sri D. Dutta DIO NIC Lakhimpur and attended by Principal GHSS (Custodian)and Pratidin Local Correspondent Sri Uttam Hazarika.

 Around 20 nos of farmers/SHG / NGO member etc. participated in the awareness camp. The objective of the meeting was conveyed by 

Sri Dibya Dutta DIO NIC Lakhimpur. In his inaugural address,  he encouraged all the participants to become knowledgeable with various 

schemes of govt, useful data etc. and encourage them to visit CIC to avail the benefits of INTERNET. He spoke the various objects of the 

CIC and the responsibilities of the CIC operators to provide useful information to rural public. He spoke about the ASHA project, their

 background, aims & objectives of ASHA and the various steps taken in the project to eradicate the problems faced by present cultivators. 

He encouraged the farmers to improve their technical skill, build up their capacity and to become modern skill farmers. In the last half he 

demonstrate the portal of ASHA and a hand on session was held for half an hour.
