Today dated the 7^th July 05 an awareness Campaign on implementation of “ASHA” an agri-business services through CICs was held in the Nagar Amkatia LP School premises. The meeting was presided over by Sri Baikunth Konch E.O. ©, Dhakuakhana Dev. Block. The aim and purposes of the camp was explained by Sri Bhawajit Doley, ADO Dhakuakhana . In his explanatory speech Sri Bhawajit Doley  laid impression on gaining of economic and employment opportunities  through agri-business services ASHA and  CICs , an ambitious project taken up by the assam small farmers agri-business  consortium (ASFAC) . He also delivered discussion on winning of banker, successful implementation of a project, role of a leader in bringing out a  programme success . The reasons for lagging behind in agril production in comparison to others, deprivation of real producers through their intermediary, how a farmer can over comes these problems through CICs were explained elaborately. To have a sustainable production and avail high income he invited the participants to come under a one umbrella by getting registration themselves as member in CICs.

            Accordingly the 2^nd item in the Agenda, Sri Mridul Chutia, and CIC Operator Dhakuakhana also offered valuable discussion. In his speech, Sri Cutia including background of ASHA, Status, goals and objectives of CICs were explained in details. He also added the role and function of CICs that has been performing so far for farmers and market globalization through CICs in his brief speech. In addition to,  he also  offered  explanation  on category wise membership registration  and services offered  to them  by the CICs. He also announced that the awareness campaign will be avenged in every Gaon Panchayat within the short time.

            The campaign was attended about 120 participants from different NGOs, SHGs and progressive farmers. Sri Kabindra  Chetia , a progressive farmer  from Bagicha Gaon , Sri Aniram Dutta , Secy. Dhakuakhanma Anchalik  SHG and  Sri Nagen Gogoi , Secy. Tarali  SHG were also interceded  their  opinions in favour of the programme.

            In the end of the meeting, Sri Boikuntha Konch congratulated all the participants from his presidential Chair. He wished prosperity   amongst the participants and advised   to be patient to bring out the programme success in Dhakuakhana . The meeting came to end with the valuable conclusion of the president.
